Set in the early 1990s, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas follows Carl "CJ" Johnson as he returns to his hometown of Los Santos after five years away. Upon learning of his mother's murder, CJ finds his family and childhood gang, the Grove Street Families, in disarray.
